Rochas
Founded in 1925 by Marcel Rochas, the brand began its activity in couture. Its perfume business was born in 1936, but it took until 1944 to see the Rochas perfume brand appear as we know it today. Perfumer Edmond Roudnitska created Femme, a fruity chypre that became a house essential. In the 1950s, Marcel Rochas closed his fashion house and devoted himself solely to perfume creation. He died a few years later. The citrus Eau de Roche, renamed Eau de Rochas (1970), became the brand's best-seller. A men's version of Eau de Rochas, fresh and woody, was released in 1993. Fragrances then followed, such as Tocade (1994) or Eau de Rochas Fraîche (2010). At the end of 2008, the brand announced its return to the catwalks.
