Le couturier italien Valentino Garavani (1932) crée Valentino en 1960. La marque propose une large gamme de produits de luxe, de la couture aux accessoires en passant par des collections de chaussures… et de parfums. Le rouge, couleur fétiche du créateur, est déclinée chaque année en d’élégantes robes. Côté parfums, le créateur imagine Valentino (1978) puis Very Valentino (1998), décliné par la suite au masculin. V et Rock n’ Rose sont d’autres parfums lancés par la suite par la marque. En 2008, Valentino Garavani prend sa retraite du monde la mode.
