Its enigmatic, numerical name comes from the address where the first examples of this historic juice were produced. At that time, Wilhelm Mülhens lived at 4711, bell alley in Cologne. His recipe was kept secret for more than two centuries, which allowed this product to preserve its purity and virtues.
